Grey Zone

Loosely, in the aesthetic zone, our treatment choices are either direct or indirect tecnique, using either ceramic and/or resin based materials. The inclusion of orthodontics and perio-plastic procedures may also influence treatment plan. Typically, there may be a structural, mechanical or health problem to manage, however, the patients aesthetic concerns will also significantly influence the treatment possibilities. Join Dr Tony Rotondo (Prosthodontist) on a treatment planning journey in the aesthetic zone.
From Dr Rotondo: ‘when I think of the grey zone, I think of a patient that has 2-3 possible treatment plans/options and, as the treating clinician, I have difficulty deciding on the most appropriate plan. By definition, there is often no right or wrong treatment plan, but I hope to present more clarity around developing the best treatment plan for a particular patient. The discussion could be as simple as choosing between resin vs ceramic dental materials and, while this may be a good place to start, I think it is much broader that that and should include treatment concepts, philosopy and multidisciplinary approaches to treatment in the aesthetic zone.‘
We will start the day with a meet and greet lunch, and close it with a sundowner drinks session. This is a great opportunity to meet colleagues.
