Problems you will solve with this course:

1. You look at a smile, you know something is wrong, but the exact reasons are not clear.
2. You don’t get from your lab the exact smile design you wanted. Not clear if the problem was your instructions or their lack of understanding.
3. Not having the skills to actually perform a smile design yourself, when needed. If it’s a direct mock up or a CAD project.
4. Getting work from the lab and having a hard time evaluating if it’s good enough, where are the problems and what are the necessary changes.
5. Not having a clear system to analyze work than by others and generating clear instructions of the necessary changes to minimize back and forth.
6. Not having the skills to change chair side mock ups, provisionals and final restorations. Every time work is not ideal, having to rely on others to improve it.
7. Having a hard time making patients understand that you are not only a great clinician but also a great smile designer. Patients taking your artistic skills for granted. Not generating differentiation as a smile designer.

Christian will present 2 separate 2 day programs, you can do both or pick one.

Program 1

Advanced Smile Design ‘Advanced Concepts Course’.

Program:

Day 1 

1. Smile design guidelines & ⁠the smile frame in 10 steps
2. 10 steps of the smile frame and drawing exercises hands-on
3. Treatment planning with the end in mind, visualisation
4. Patient avatar demo and smile design technologies

Day 2

1. Planning guided by design workshop
2. Dentist-Lab synergy on smile design cases, a high performance restorative workflow
3. The difference between good and great when restoring smiles in compromised cases. The art of optical illusion in restorative dentistry
4. Case discussion and communication workshop

Overcoming Restorative Compromises, Hands-on Course. 

Make Good Smiles Great. 

Perfectly suited to dentist and ceramist teams and dentist wanting to improve their ceramic and direct resin skills by developing a superior understanding of morphology in the aesthetic zone.

Master optical illusion, design and arrangement to transform challenging compromised restorative cases into esthetic opportunities.

Program:

Day 1

1. Smile design principles recap
2. Free hand drawing exercise. Activating your artistic side
3. Model exercise 1: Making teeth look longer/narrower and shorter/wider
4. Model exercise 2: From fake/bulky to natural/delicate

Day 2

1. Model exercise 3: Fixing axis and inter-proximal areas
2. Communicating smile design through drawings. Fascinating and educating patients. 
3. Model exercise 4 & 5: Creating space for pink and avoiding the “banana look”
4. Clinical case discussion and design. Bring your case to be discussed and designed with Christian.
