Dr Sahil Soni

Writing a blurb, trying to promote myself feels very unnatural and seems more difficult than it should, probably because humility is a virtue which I value greatly. I do also appreciate the competitive world that we live in, and the need to stand out from the crowd. So at the risk of sounding self important and pompous, here’s a little bit of information about me and why should you choose me to be your dentist.

I’m aware that I look young and inexperienced, but don’t judge a book by its cover. I graduated from the University of Otago (NZ) in 2009 and have more than 13 years experience working as a dentist in private practice. I used to have my own dental practice in Canberra for 6 years, which I sold in 2018 and moved to Brisbane. I’ve always seen myself as a health professional and came to realise that the business of dentistry is something which does not suit my personality, as the two sides often conflict.

I would describe myself as a caring, honest, hardworking and ethical person and would like to believe that these qualities are reflected in my professional interactions with my patients and in their treatment. I genuinely enjoy what I do. I understand the impact a smile can have on a person’s self confidence, and the ability to restore that confidence is so very rewarding for me.

I greatly value personal growth and self development, and help mentor recently graduated dentists, as well as teach courses to other dentists on the topics of dental aesthetics, veneers and rubber dam application. You can find more information about me as well as some examples of my work on my website www.sahilsoni.com or alternatively on my Instagram page - sahil.soni.29.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, photography and playing squash.
